Aerospace industry
In the aerospace field, laser cleaning technology is mainly used in the following aspects:
Pre-welding pretreatment: High temperature alloys, titanium alloys, aluminum alloys and other materials need to be thoroughly removed from the surface of the oxide layer and other pollutants before welding. Laser cleaning technology effectively removes these pollutants by means of no mechanical contact and improves welding quality. For example, pre-welding treatment of aluminum alloys such as 7A52 and 2219 can significantly reduce the tendency of hydrogen gas holes in the weld and improve the forming quality of the weld.
Surface degreasing and depainting: Aircraft skins need to be periodically depainted and recolored to repair surface damage and prevent corrosion. Laser cleaning technology removes paint layers from aircraft skins efficiently and environmentally friendly, without causing damage to the substrate.
